The Roosterfish is featuring homoerotic art by local gay and gay-friendly artists. So, check out the works of our featured artist now showing.
Japanese born artist Minoru initially set out for a corporate career, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Tokyo's Asia University. Thankfully, however, his artistic influences eventually lead him to enroll in the city's Bunka Fashion Academy where he studied Fashion Design and Fashion Illustration. Working in Japan's fashion industry until 1979, he then moved to Los Angeles where he continued develop his detailed style of drawing, illustration and painting pursuing coursework at East Los Angeles College, Pasadena City College and Glendale Community College.
All those art studies obviously paid off. In addition to numerous first place finishes in student and professional art exhibitions, today Minoru is a member of the Silver Lake Art Collective as well as the Tom of Finland Foundation. In fact, his very first showing at the 2003 Los Angeles Tom of Finland Erotic Art Show was so well received that he was asked to submit a piece to Tom of Finland's permanent collection.
The Roosterfish will be displaying several of Minoru's homoerotic works through the end of December, so please come down and check them out. You can view several of his other pieces on his website at www.artbyminoru.com
