The Roosterfish is featuring homoerotic art by local gay and gay-friendly artists.  So, check out the works of our featured artist now showing.

We are currently featuring art by...

Lalo Ugalde

Multidimensional artist Lalo Ugalde's work includes drawings, pastels, acrylics and oil paintings. He's even dabbled in photography.  Though clearly focused and guided by the eroticism of the male form, the artist's work is infinitely more complex than "just" being erotic art.  Relying on the natural properties of human anatomy, the subject's mood and the surrounding environment, Lalo uses dramatic colors, bold lines and contrasting shadows inspire an instant, visceral, emotional reaction to his paintings and drawings.

Lalo's distinctive, active style seems to imbue his male figures with a sense of movement and action.  The viewer is drawn not only to subject's form and physique but to question... "What he is doing?" In addition to the obvious sensuality of his work, it is this sense of activity that has the Tom of Finland Foundation and numerous local galleries regularly showcasing Lalo's extraordinary work.

The Roosterfish will be displaying several of Lalo's homoerotic works through the end of June, so please come down and check them out. The artist's studio is headquarter in Ontario, CA and studio tours are available by appointment.   Private commissions are considered and Lalo can be reached via email at or by phone at (909) 489-0462.
